The group participated in the Invest Saudi and Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources booth. The minister acknowledged it as one of the largest contributors to the Saudi mining ecosystem. The Zahid Group team, including Akram Saab, Head of Group Real Estate and Properties, Pierre Hill, CMD Mining Director, and Abdulaziz Siraj, Mining Equipment Specialist, accompanied the ministerial team on their round, visiting multiple booths that have ties to Saudi Arabia (Hexagon, Epiroc, Chinese Pavillion, Metso, Boart Longyear).
The team had multiple meetings with the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, His Excellency Mr. Bandar AlKhorayef, the Vice Minister for Mining Affairs, His Excellency Eng: Khalid AlMudaifer, and the National Industrial Development Center CEO. The main topic of discussion was the ecosystem supporting mining in the Kingdom, and the ministry stressed that Zahid Group would play a vital role in that.
The Ministry addressed CAT’s need to localize the manufacturing of some of its product lines and is willing to assist with any issues that CAT may face in the localization journey.
